Hi. My name is Ellen. I really would love to take your photo. Let's create something beautiful.

Thanks so much for visiting my website and considering me for your photographic needs.  I am always honored when I have the opportunity to share in life's moments with you.

I invite you to check out my photo gallery, which features client work as well as a visual gallery of my travels and other personal work. I am still a devoted fan of film photography and collecting vintage cameras is a passion of mine.  I find the process of working with film creatively fulfilling and I love the excitement that comes with the experiment of film development.  Of course I also shoot digitally, working with both Canon and Nikon dSLRs.

My goal is to capture the magic within the moments of your life, from the monumental to the mundane.  I approach each opportunity with an inquisitive eye and creative spirit. I feel SO lucky to be part of your moments, and able to capture them in a format that will be there, FOREVER! Long after your wedding dress has been put away, years after your babies have grown into young adults, your photos will still there for your great-grand children to look upon.

My work has been featured in Draft Magazine, the Capture My Vermont photography book, in Groupon ads, Seven Days, and in local print campaigns. My wedding work with Paul Sarne at Ampersand Wedding Photography has been published on Style Me Pretty, Vermont Bride, Sweet Violet Bride, Vermont Weddings, Your Big Day, Adore by Chloe, Paper Moon Weddings, Vermont Wedding Style, BlushLoveWed, One Stylish Bride, and so much more.

I was born and raised in Vermont, and currently reside in the outskirts of Burlington, where you will find my freezer filled with film, and my office cluttered with vintage cameras. I indulge my wanderlust whenever possible, and in my spare time, if I'm not shooting photos of bumblebees in the flowers, or capturing your wedding day, I love to play guitar, daydream, bike, hike, play, laugh, bake pies and other treats, eat said treats and other delicious food, and enjoy time with my friends, family and four legged companion, Wally.

I really love bees.

I find something truly fascinating and compelling about bees. Honey bees, bumble bees, spelling bees...

Over the course of my photography career I'm always drawn towards the buzzing and excitement of flowers full of bees. If you check out "the wild life" galleries you'll find samplings of my bee friends.

Wally.

I have a pretty phenomenal pup named Wally.

He's a newfoundland/border collie mix. Too smart for his own good, and is a therapy dog.

Traveling makes me feel alive.

I've been so fortunate to have a family that supports my endeavors both here at home and abroad. I've traveled to Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, India, Germany, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Many of the images in the galleries were captured during my travels.
